Nice review Mads as always. I used to love Quak back in the day. Alien Breed Special Edition is a game that plays so much better as a two player game in my experience.
ReplyDeleteI am not sure what the prices on the CD32 were, but on the Amiga the games were both budget, so that might explain why they didn't bother doing anything special with the games.
Thanks Paul. Yes, if it was a budget re-release I can understand it, but it's really such a shame. A proper soundtrack could elevate this game to a completely other level.
DeleteGood video. While I was never a big fan of Alien Breed back on the A500 I could understand a lot of people's love of it. What did they do with the controls for the CD32 version?
ReplyDeleteThanks Karl. The controls are pretty straight forward: aim and shoot :) I don't recall precisely how the controls are, but you mostly just use a single button. You don't have any finer level of control such as running backwards... that's really missing if you ask me.
